Washington, D.C. office seeks an associate with 5+ years of substantial ERISA litigation experience. Experience successfully litigating ERISA federal cases, including fiduciary breach and/or benefit cutback claims required. Experience, in the context of ERISA cases, in investigating and researching complaints; preparing pleadings, motions and papers; and engaging in all phases of discovery, including the taking and defending of depositions also needed. An interest in assisting in the growth of the firm’s ERISA practice is needed. Following things will also be considered: Law school; class rank; participation on a law review; judicial clerkships; and current/former employment experiences. Ability to contribute immediately to large cases and demonstrate superior research, analytical, writing skills, and ability to meet internal deadlines required. An understanding of the business of contingency fee law firms, is a plus.
