Washington, D.C. office seeks a paralegal (securities litigation) with 3-5 years of general litigation experience in a large law firm setting. The candidate will assist with all phases of the litigation process. This section focuses on investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by various exchanges and government agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA, formerly known as the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), as well as on diverse civil litigation including securities class actions. Work with a team of paralegals in support of partners and associates on securities litigation matters. Will be responsible for: Trial preparation with heavy document production; conducting factual research; drafting correspondence; cite checking and blue booking; and possibly assisting attorneys on trial locations.
